Hi Everyone, I am new at this so pardon me if I don't do everything just right. I need help with a couple questions. Does anyone know if your C Reactive Protein can go up if you have strep throat or is it just related to Crohn's disease? My issue is I have had two resections done, 1 not quite a yr ago. About 3 wks ago, I started doubling the bathroom trips, losing weight, feeling blah and just plain out of sorts. I thought it might just be a virus so I ignored it. Finally last week I broke down and went to my gastro. He sent me for tests - CBC, C Reactive, Sed Rate, B12 levels - and put me on Flagyl . They all came back fine except for my C Reactive Protein which is doubled since my last test in December. When I saw him on Monday, he inquired if I was having any other problems and I explained I have ulcers on the back of my throat. He stated that could be while my C Reactive has gone up and changed me to Amoxicillin. He stated if I was still not better today, then he wants to do a colonoscopy tomorrow. So like I stated before has anyone ever had this happen to them? I am I just worrying for nothing that my Crohn's may be back? Please help!!!!!



P.S. I am currently taking 6MP - 100 mg daily and B12 Nasal weekly. Thanks!
